Do the batteries come off for charging?

Yes. The batteries are removable on all Hikobike models, meaning you can charge the battery on and off the bike.

How long do the batteries take to charge?

3-6 hours.

How many years will the battery last?

We expect our batteries to last for an absolute minimum of two years (based on the assumption that a battery is being used and charged five times per week) and they are covered by warranty for that period.

We will provide you with advice on how to extend the life of your battery when you buy your Hikobike. We expect our batteries to last 3 – 5 years if well looked after.

What happens to my battery at the end of its life?

We can refurbish most Hikobike batteries, which is a cheaper and more and environmentally friendly option than buying a whole new battery. Where this is not possible, you can return your battery to us and we will ensure it is disposed of responsibly.

Can I buy a second battery?

Yes. Please contact us for more information.

Where can I test ride a Hikobike?

Please click here to find a Hikobike stockist near you. Our dealer network is growing all the time, so if there is no-one listed local to you, please contact us.

What is the warranty on Hikobikes?

Subject to fair wear and tear, our warranty covers the battery and motor for 2 years, the frame for 5 years and other components (excluding consumables) for 1 year. You will be provided with a copy of the full warranty document upon purchasing your ebike.

How long does delivery take?

If the bike is in stock, we aim to deliver within 2 weeks of you placing your order (although we can usually deliver sooner). Once you have placed an order with us, we will be in touch to arrange a delivery date.

How much does delivery cost?

There is £15 delivery charge for e-bikes to the Highlands. Delivery is free for the rest of mainland UK.

If you wish to purchase a bike from outside mainland UK, please contact us for a delivery quote.

Can you buy a Hikobike via a Cycle to Work Scheme?

Yes. We and our dealers are signed up to numerous Cycle to Work Schemes. The Green Commute Initiative is our preferred supplier. Please contact us or your nearest dealer for more information.
